Run hard, be strong, stick together!
Together, we are strong! And this was never truer than at the Bonn corporate run and at the Haspa Marathon in Hamburg, where SER teams joined in the racing fun. Enthusiastic runners from both SER offices were motivated to reach the finish line in a joint effort, strengthening both team spirit and personal health.
New personal records in Hamburg
With four runners for each of the three legs, Hamburg's SER team was excited to take on the 42-kilometer route of the Haspa Marathon. The three teams even topped their best times, reaching the finish line in just over four hours. Their success is not at all surprising, as every work day the team runs together along the Alster, a tributary that flows through Hamburg. This dynamic way of spending a lunch break also gives the team members high energy for the rest of the day. Running together and achieving athletic success as a team have also had other positive side effects, as SER Presales Consultant and runner Marc Volquardsen observes: "The marathon has really given us a positive push: the team spirit was impressive, and this motivation has carried over into our daily work!"
Crossing the finish line together
The Bonn corporate run, which the Bonn office has taken part in for years now, was the inspiration for the Hamburg team’s participation in the marathon. "Faster to the finish line together" — this was the theme for SER's team of 50 runners at the 12th annual corporate run. The team was also running for a good cause: for every runner, the participating companies made a donation to the cystic fibrosis non-profit institute Mukoviszidose e.V. and to CARE Deutschland-Luxemburg e.V., an organization that fights poverty and world hunger.
