Dr. John BatesChief Executive Officer
As CEO, Dr. John Bates works closely with the Management Board to drive the international growth and strategic development of SER. He has over 20 years of success in creating and shaping innovative software companies in areas that include algorithmic trading, real-time analytics and the Internet of Things, as well as serving in executive roles at a number of publicly-listed tech companies. Most recently, John served as CEO of Eggplant, a leading provider and pioneer of AI-powered intelligent software test automation. He also currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sage, a FTSE100 leader in cloud-based business applications. John holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and lives with his family in London.
Dr. Gregor JoerisChief Technology Officer
In addition to his role as a Managing Director of SERgroup Holding International GmbH, Dr. Gregor Joeris is also the innovative mind behind SER's technologies & products.
Gregor studied Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University and received his PhD in Bremen, Germany. As the Chief Technology Officer and a Managing Director of SER Software Technology GmbH, Gregor is responsible for the design and further development of SER's flagship product Doxis.
Holger KliebeChief Financial Officer
Holger Kliebe is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the SER Group and is responsible for the areas of Finance, Controlling, Legal, Order Processing, Administration, Inhouse Applications, Organization and IT. With his expertise in strategic development, change management and internationalization, he plays a key role in supporting and accelerating SER’s upward growth trajectory. His dynamic approach and know-how in software and digitalization make him the perfect fit for the SER management team.
In his previous position, Holger was the Director of Finance & Administration and Member of the Management Board at the software firm INFORM GmbH. He was also a Member of the Supervisory Board of logisticar GmbH and held a variety of global executive positions at firms such as Klaus Steilmann GmbH & Co. KG and the Grünenthal Group. He has over 18 years of experience in finance on both operative and strategic levels.
Martin HenningsChief Customer Officer
In his role as Chief Customer Officer, Martin Hennings is responsible for all post-sales customer-facing activities, including Professional Services and Customer Operations. His main goals are to further drive value for customers and to empower the SER team to deliver next-generation Intelligent Content Automation solutions in a way that both meets customer demands and ensures highly sustainable business for SER.
A seasoned CX and Professional Services leader with a proven track record building highly successful customer programs, Martin has over 20 years of experience working at software firms. He most recently held the position of Vice President Professional Services EMEA at AppDynamics, an Application Performance Management platform vendor. Prior to this, he worked in various customer-facing executive roles at companies like BMC Software and IBM.
Will McInnesChief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Will McInnes is responsible for all marketing and communications activities, including direct, channel, business development and product marketing. His primary focus is to drive new business growth and brand leadership in the global ECM market.
Will has a long track record in profitably scaling business and growing brands for leading tech firms – most recently as the CMO of Ultimate (leading platform for customer support automation) and Brandwatch (number one social intelligence platform), where he spearheaded significant revenue increases and rapid global expansion.
Outside of work, Will helped launch the Class Divide campaign, fighting for fairer educational outcomes for the Whitehawk community in East Brighton, and is a youth coach at Brighton Rugby Football Club.
Janine TrinkausChief People Officer
As the Chief People Officer, Janine Trinkaus is responsible for the international HR strategy of the SER Group.
With many years of experience working in human resources, Janine places great value in the further development and advancement of employees. Encouraging togetherness, open lines of communication and a culture of trust are her biggest priorities. In line with this, she is passionate about ensuring a true work-life balance and a modern workplace. Together with her highly committed HR team, she is forging solutions to ensure the success of this transformation process.
Nabil Ben AbdallahVP Sales Southern EMEA
As Vice President of Sales Southern EMEA and Managing Director of SER Software Solutions Middle East Ltd., Nabil Ben Abdallah spearheads the SER Group’s operations and growth in the southern EMEA region. Nabil has a deep understanding of the market: Over the past 10 years, he has helped countless customers to achieve their digitalization and business automation objectives.
With degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, Nabil specializes in building and developing high performance enterprise software sales and professional services teams. In addition to his passion for the digital world, he is also an enthusiastic tennis and football player in his free time.
Jair GodschalkVP Sales Central EMEA
Jair Godschalk is a Vice President of Sales Central EMEA and CEO of SER Interact Digital AG in Switzerland. Jair has worked over 20 years in ECM projects in diverse industries and business areas. He utilizes his expertise to help companies in their decision-making and ECM implementations.
In his early years while working at his family's software company, Jair, who was born in the Netherlands, was already enthusiastic about getting people excited about digital solutions. Throughout his career, Jair has held a wide variety of positions and responsibilities in which he’s demonstrated his passion for customer satisfaction: in sales, international project management, professional services, product management and development.
Thorsten SchneiderVP Sales Central EMEA
Thorsten Schneider is responsible for sales growth in central EMEA and leads existing customer and key account sales. As a Vice President of Sales, he continuously optimizes sales structures throughout the German-speaking market and sales processes inside and outside of the SER Group. Thorsten has made it his goal to further grow the SER Group’s key account organization.
After completing his Engineering degree in Muenster, Germany and at California State University, Fresno, he worked for over 20 years in account & field sales management in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition to an interest in topics like automation, cloud computing and SaaS, Thorsten is also a sports enthusiast: He is particularly passionate about sailing — but also loves diving and playing soccer.
Douglas CardosoVP Products
As Head of Product Management, Douglas Cardoso manages the entire product portfolio strategy of SER. For Douglas, product management plays a crucial role in a company’s success and requires strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, curiosity, deep understanding of customer challenges, and industry knowledge.
With a B.Sc. in Systems Analysis and Computer Science and over 10 years of industry experience, Douglas has designed and developed digital products for a wide variety of sectors. His unwavering fascination for innovation and how technology can benefit people have been his compass throughout his career.
Markus D. HartbauerVP Solution Engineering
Markus D. Hartbauer is the Managing Director of SER Solutions Österreich GmbH and leads the Solution Engineering division in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For over 20 years now, Markus has worked in various functions for the SER Group throughout Europe — including positions as a Project Manager, Professional Services Manager, Product Application Manager and Chief Solutions Architect.
As a digital transformation visionary, Markus advises C-levels from diverse sectors to help them develop ideas and solutions for their companies. He is also a frequent keynote speaker at conferences around the world. Hartbauer studied Business Management, Project Management/IT and User Experience Management.
