For the third time now, Germany's leading industry magazine MM Maschinenmarkt has honored outstanding innovations from the industrial sector with the Best of Industry Award. The SER customer Eissmann Group Automotive took one of the top positions in the category "Industry 4.0" with its innovative collaboration solution, the Doxis^® iRoom^® for supplier. This platform as a service solution (PaaS) connects Eissmann Group Automotive with over 1,000 suppliers across the globe. The iRoom integrates the suppliers into its production processes and creates space for a collaborative partnership in its business ecosystem. Cornelius Hilbig, Head of Digital Services/IT at the Eissmann Group Automotive, was pleased with the award: "Digitalization offers new possibilities for collaboration that go beyond value chains. Thanks to the collaboration solution, the Doxis^® iRoom^® for supplier, we've succeeded in spreading the digital mindset of our company to our suppliers."

With its second place ranking at last year's Digital Leader Award, the SER-Eissmann project has been honored twice now as a digital pioneer. It's no coincidence that the two companies have joined forces as partners on equal footing, shaping the digital future. Jair Godschalk, SER Regional Office Manager, adds: "The most crucial aspect of connected collaboration with partners is that there is a shared basis of information available in a secure environment. With virtual workspaces, companies can create the right conditions for this. Communication, documentation and secure information go hand in hand."

Eissmann Doxis^® iRoom^® for supplier

To streamline collaboration, Eissmann recently launched a supplier portal, the iRoom. It is a virtual project room that Eissmann set up with collaboration components of the Doxis4^® iRoom^® based on SER's ECM platform, which is already being deployed at Eissmann. The iRoom serves as a common information source for processes and as a means of sharing documents and multimedia objects. The innovative collaboration portal is a key component of the digital transformation strategy of Eissmann that aims to integrate external partners into business processes of automotive suppliers.
