At SER, 2022 is all about the new generation of Doxis Intelligent Content Automation products. A key pillar of Doxis Intelligent Content Automation are the solution suites — specially curated bundles of cloud-native solutions to address key business areas. Here’s a quick rundown of three of our new solution suites. We also have some updates to our business solutions and the Doxis platform to announce.
In brief: What’s different about the new Doxis Intelligent Content Automation (ICA) product generation? Doxis ICA builds on our proven content, process and cognitive services to create a next-generation ECM system that liberates information from silos, brings it together in the right business context, and makes it available where it’s needed. The basis is provided by Doxis, our AI-powered platform specifically designed to link and automate content across leading ecosystems, including SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft.

Efficiency drivers: Doxis solution suites
What are our solution suites? For our customers, they are the most efficient way to digitalize and automate specific use cases. The AI-powered Doxis solution suites bundle Doxis solutions, such as the supplier or customer workspace, or invoice, HR or contract management, and make them available to use separately or in combination. Each suite contains a specially curated selection of use case-based solutions. Further key components of the solution suites are the Doxis SmartBridges for SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft Teams, which connect Doxis with the corresponding business applications, enabling content to be automatically shared across all linked systems. The advantage for users is huge, as they can continue working in a familiar environment while gaining access to content from other systems. What exactly goes into a solution suite is determined by the individual use case.
Building bridges between ‘information islands’
One of the new solution suites is Doxis Content Bridge for SAP & Salesforce, designed primarily to deliver a 360° customer view. As the name suggests, Doxis Content Bridge connects ecosystems that operate independently of one another, such as SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft 365, enabling information to flow automatically between all systems. Previously isolated content contained therein is liberated and made mutually available to all users via the customer workspaces within the suite.
Doxis Customer Workspaces give companies a 360° view of customer data and documents, providing effective support throughout all customer-centric business processes. Emails, letters, offers, invoices, contracts, meeting notes, information on new marketing initiatives, project team chat transcripts — for every customer there’s a customer workspace where all of this information is located.
Doxis Contract Management, the digital contract management solution from SER, is another key component of the solution suite. It offers companies the right tools to efficiently manage their customer relationships, as well as contracts with all other business partners, maintaining a 360° view throughout.
Customer-related content finds its way from the various systems into the workspaces courtesy of the included Doxis SmartBridges for SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft Teams. These three business applications belong to the standard portfolio of systems used by many companies in sales and customer service. Each of the SmartBridges triggers the automatic transfer of content from SAP, Salesforce and Teams into Doxis, where it is securely archived and made available to all authorized users via the customer workspace — meaning SAP users can access Salesforce content and, conversely, Salesforce users can access SAP content and all customer- or project-related chat logs from Teams.

Automated purchase-to-pay processes
Another solution suite is Doxis Intelligent Purchase-to-Pay Automation. There are substantial profitability gains to be leveraged from purchase-to-pay processes — provided they are effectively managed. Unfortunately, poorly orchestrated workflows between production, procurement, accounting and suppliers can rapidly lead to losses and production delays. So how can you avoid these pitfalls? By automating your purchase-to-pay processes, connecting the relevant departments as part of a single process, and making procurement information available throughout the entire process chain.
Since purchase-to-pay processes hinge on data and documents from the ERP system, in SAP we use Doxis SmartBridge for SAP to file SAP documents — such as order confirmations and invoices — in corresponding supplier files in the Doxis Supplier Workspace and/or in the Doxis Purchase Order Workspace. Doxis Contract Management is a great tool for creating and monitoring supplier contracts.

A 360° view of patients & cases
Clinics, hospitals, care facilities and other healthcare providers can benefit from the Doxis Healthcare Suite, a standardized bundle that includes solutions such as an electronic patient file with integrated case file.
Patient data, documents and images, such as X-rays, MRIs and CT scans, can be securely filed in Doxis in line with audit requirements. Special connectors link up imaging systems with hospital information systems via DICOM and HL7. The Doxis Healthcare Suite is IHE-ready.
Machine learning: Even more intelligence for the Doxis platform
We also continually develop and extend the Doxis platform as the foundation for intelligent content automation. One notable example is the Doxis Classification & Extraction Service. Our customers can create their own machine learning projects for the Doxis Classification & Extraction Service using the integrated portal, where they can monitor and optimize the extraction results.
Machine learning projects can be set up for any number of extraction projects, for instance, order confirmations, supplier or customer correspondence, as well as for conventional invoice processing, which is also included as standard in the Doxis Intelligent Purchase-to-Pay Automation solution suite. Doxis has now also been updated with an automatic learning feature that learns from every manual correction made to the recognition results and takes the corrected parameter into consideration on the next run.
